Mk2 Sceptre - Steering Box Issues.

Hi all,
I'm having some trouble with the steering box on my Mk2 Sceptre. It's developed quite a bit of play, and it's making the car feel a little vague and unsteady on the road.
I've checked the usual suspects – track rod ends, ball joints, etc. – and they all seem to be in good order. So, I suspect the issue lies within the steering box itself.
Has anyone else experienced similar problems? If so, what was the solution? Is it possible to adjust the steering box to take up some of the slack, or is a rebuild or replacement the only option?
Also, if a rebuild is required, can anyone recommend a reputable specialist who can handle this type of work? Or, alternatively, if a replacement is the better option, where is the best place to source a good quality replacement steering box?
