Hi
My name is Matt and I am involved with the Rootes Archive Centre Trust - for those of you who don't know what that is - A few years ago Peugeot decided to close the Humber Road site in Coventry and in storage in one of the buildings were the engineering drawings for most models from the 60's through Chrysler days - there is even some material dating back further much of which is on micro-fiche. These drawings would have been destroyed however they were rescused and the trust was set up to house them and make them available for clubs to use, people to research, parts remanufacture etc etc.
Much of the funding for the trust comes from the Association of Rootes Car Clubs (ARCC) hower a significant contribution comes from merchandise sales and renting drawings to traders who wish to remanufacture parts.
A new venture we are looking at is the sale of secondhand spares - We have recently aquired a cache of '66 Singer Vogue 1725 spares including Engines, bootlid, door, solex carbs (4), rear lights headlamps, chrome, locks, etc etc.
In addition we carry a huge range (3500 in all) of spare keys which are available for sale at £2.50 each.
If any of the above interests you or you wish to know more then please don't hesitate to get in touch. ract_ebay@btinternet.com
Matt
PS. I run a Series V Alpine.
